Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit — your preferences, your active session, your search context — between page loads and across visits.
Similar technologies (such as local storage and session storage) work in the same way and are covered by this policy.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These keep the site functional. Without them parts of the site won’t work — you can’t turn them off via the site, but you can block them in your browser (the site will then break in predictable ways).
- Authentication (Clerk) — keeps you signed in to your account.
- Session — preserves your booking flow state across pages.
- CSRF protection — prevents cross-site request forgery on form submissions.
Functional
These remember choices you make to give you a better experience.
- Display currency — remembers the currency you chose so prices appear consistently.
- Active property (admin only) — remembers which property you’re managing inside the admin area.
- Cookie consent — records your cookie preferences if a consent banner is shown.
Performance & analytics
We currently do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this site. If we add any in future we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before they are set.
Third-party cookies
Some pages embed services that may set their own cookies — for example Google Maps when displaying directions, or our payment partner during checkout. These are governed by the respective providers’ privacy and cookie policies.
3. How long they last
Cookies are either “session cookies” (deleted when you close the browser) or “persistent cookies” (remain until they expire or you delete them). Our persistent cookies typically last between 30 days and 12 months.
4. Managing your cookie preferences
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and saved preferences from working correctly.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no consistent industry standard for honouring it, and we do not currently respond to it. We will reconsider if a stable standard is adopted.
6. Updates to this policy
We will update this policy when our cookie practice changes or when laws change. The revision date at the top reflects when the page was last updated.
